First, and most important of all I would like to state that I love writing. Mostly, I love creative writing which I tend to believe it suits me best. My strongest part as a writer, is when I am
able to write freely.
Some people say that writing is a skill which can be develop over time. Through my experience, a person can become a good writer by developing a skill that has already being given to him, from the day he was born.
A good writer never submits his first draft of any written material. It is very important to go through your writings over and over again, especially when the dateline is not very strict.
By going through your writings you have the chance to correct any grammar and spelling mistakes and to check whether your piece has sequence and structural order. Moreover, to revise if the meaning of the essay is clear and distinct.
Referencing is also very important , especially when you write about a topic that has already being discussed. You can do your reaserch and use a variety of data, but always write down from where that data came from and double check if that source is reliable. It is wise though, to use the information given at hand, by not copy and paste from the source but, to elaborate by applying your own arguments.
From this course I would definitely learn how to write an essay with a topic selected by my lecturer. I would also learn how to narrow down my madly way of writing, hopefully without loosing my own identity.
Furthermore, the use of language will be improved, as practice makes perfection. A good writer, is the one who is never satisfied with his writings, as he always thinks he could do much better next time.
