statement of goals

This semester at the university we have the chance to take the course of Advance Expository Writing and the opprtunity to improve our writing skills. Nobody is perfect in writing even a famous writter like James Joyce. Joyce reputation recedes him more than most writers. Without even reading a line of his work. As I studied for him before at the preface of the book they give us suggestions how to read him, exactly “Ulysses. I took his work as example to emphasize the point that no-one of us is perfect even Joyce. Each of us has a different way of writing or reading a text, poetry , fiction or drama stories. As I want to be better in writing essays I would like in that course to improve my vocabulary and syntax. I not plan my essays at all because I prefare to just thinking what I shall write and write in more physical or life way.
I have to learn how to memmorize words and start using them at my essays to make my writing more attractive and comprehensive to all the readers and not let them boring with my repeatiation of words and make the text meaningless. I must to start write down every word that I hear and has no meaning to me and try to find it out. Also I think of stop using subtitles at the movies, maybe is way to learn some words and phrases.
Then I will try to improve my syntax. If I don’t have good syntax my essays will not have meaning and the readers will not understand the aim. I have to be in situation at least to give them understand the main theme of what I’m writing.
At the end of this course I hope to improve my vocabulary and syntax. I strongly want to achieve in the future without and writing problems. Personally, I thanks university of giving us that great course because I’m sure that it will help me a lot.
