Statement of Goals

Writing is a way of expressing yourself freely. Although writing an essay can sometimes have some difficulties. For example, an essay to consider good must have rich vocabulary, syntax, cohearence and also it must be well organized. By taking this course I expect to improve my writing skills and even learn some more, for better results.

An essay must be interesting for the reader or else the reader will be bored before it reaches to the end of it. In order to be interesting it has to have good vocabulary and no repetition of the same words or phrases. The writer of the essay must also avoid the meaningless details that might make the essay boring. This things I take firstly in mind when I'm writing an essay.

Secondly I continue with the stucturewich is a very important part of the essay. I start with the inroduction, wich has to be good to draw the readers attention. Then I continue with the main body wich contains 3-4 paragrafs and then with the conclusion.

The problems I believe I have with writing an essay are the vocabulary -because some times i might use the same word or phrase more than one time- and the syntax. I think that this is the most common mistake that almost everybody does. In generally my writing is good but certainly not perfect.

In conclusion I know that my writing needs improvements and by taking this course I will manage to enrich my vocabulary, correct my problems with thee syntax and in general become better in writing an essay.
