Statement of Goals

While I am studying English language and Literature to the university, my truly goals are to be good enough to explain all the areas that belonged to my studies. The most important area to me is the writing skills that I wanted to be improved over and over. Especially, this period while I ’m doing the course of advanced expository writing.
First of all, I really want to find out if I’m good at explaining myself when I have a source of writing in front of me. All these years, I have already learned as a writer to look at the theme and think for a strategic sequence in order to put my thoughts right in my writing. I have learned to organized with a plan the subject so that I could explain it with a lot of arguments. It’s nice and helpful to have a type of word order and an excellent vocabulary, that I always use to my writing. Then, I look for my grammar and I always do a revision for any grammatical or syntactic errors or maybe for an idea that I like to make a referent or not. Also, I used to make a good research in order to reference my sources well, by coming up with original phrases and try to explain them in my writing.
Moreover, doing this helpful course, I hope to improve more about my writing. This maybe good for myself to correct my writing, to really see what I’m doing wrong and try to fix it. To learn more about the convincing part of the writing, to persuade enough the reader that what I’m writing looks nice to him. The most important skill for my writing is not hand it in without revision. I think is the best activity now for myself. It makes you always a good writer. It will also be helpful to understand how to use sources to do my references or how to transfer an original idea and explain it in my own.
However, doing the course advanced expository writing, I would like to achieve more about my writing. It would be useful to me to deliver more the writing skills, learn how to organized my essay so that it could be a creative writing. It would also be good to me to know that I have done a good research for my subject in order to have a preparation at explaining myself. My goal in this course material is to improve my expository writing skills by revising my ideas. This will help me feel more confident while I’m writing, to convince more the reader about my arguments.
All in all, this course would be helpful to state my goals on writing. A good but also a hard activity for myself to broaden my writing skills. During this course, it is good to me to understand what is my whole work before I started writing my essay and finally what should be my expectations from the reader.
